Welcome Members and Guests

Greetings All,

It is my privilege to welcome you to the official website of the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. (NABA/DFW). We are pleased you have stopped by and hope you find the site informative, user friendly and relevant. Our mission is to address the professional needs of our members and build leaders that shape the future of the accounting and finance professions with an unfaltering commitment to inspire the same in its successors.
Many times I hear the question: How is NABA still relevant? I say: In more ways than I can cover with a simple answer. Our mission is still very much relevant as evidenced by the relatively low number of minorities who choose careers in accounting and finance. We are still relevant because our programs, including the Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP), help guide individuals into the profession and provide a pipeline for hiring quality minority talent for corporations. We are still relevant because some college students may not have exposure to some of the top tier firms simply because of the school they chose to attend. NABA provides the opportunity for students to gain this exposure through its annual Student Conferences held in every Region (West, Southwest, Southern, Central and Eastern). We are still relevant because of the technical and non-technical transferable skills gained through training opportunities offered to our professional and student members. We are still relevant because our National Convention provides opportunities for peer networking, company showcasing, and an overall inspiration to strive for greater achievements. We will always be relevant by staying committed to our mission and motto of Lifting as We Climb. We are constantly seeking and incorporating feedback from our stakeholders. Our strategic partnerships are comprised of organizations of diverse backgrounds in terms of size and industry focus, however there is one common thread: to foster a mutually beneficial relationship that promotes the recruitment and advancement of quality individuals into the accounting and finance profession.
Our association represents a lifetime of benefit, so whatever your current "season" in life, we want to be a resource and welcome you to be a part of The National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter. NABA is a family, and we welcome you with open arms. Please feel free to contact me or a member of the executive board to answer any questions about membership, volunteering, partnership, or general questions about the association.
